The Hilton at Logan Airport

We are especially happy to announce that IPP26 will be held at the Airport Hilton, located just minutes from downtown Boston's tourist destinations. The hotel is both modern and quiet, and will offer many special amenities to IPPers, including very reasonable room rates. The hotel features a main restaurant, a spacious lobby ideal for informal IPP gatherings, a lounge, and a coffee shop that will remain open late for us during IPP26. Other restaurants and foreign exchange facilities are located in the main airport terminal, a short distance away via a covered walkway.

You can register on line until July 3, 2006. (If you do not see a link called "Book a Room" on this page, try turning off your pop-up ad blocker if you have one running on your computer.) This web page (English only) was created especially for IPP26, and features our special room rates as well as full terms and conditions. Alternatively, you can call the hotel's Online Reservation phone line. From within the U.S. and Canada, call toll-free at 1-800-774-1500. If you are outside the US, you can dial 00-1-800-774-1500, and your call will be charged at international direct dial rates. If you call to reserve accommodations, please mention that you are eligible for the special IPP26 room rates.

Those who wish to share their room at the hotel with another attendee who is traveling alone can indicate this on the preliminary registration form. All those who sign up will receive a list of names, addresses and arrival/departure dates of other single attendees interested in sharing a room, so that they can make their own arrangements.

The Hilton layout affords an excellent venue for restricting access to all IPP26 events. All events will take place on the mezzanine area, which is easily isolated from the rest of the hotel for security purposes. Also, all ancillary rooms for judging, puzzle shipping, office space for the staff, etc., are all conveniently located.

Access to downtown Boston:

• Special free Hilton shuttle buses from the Hilton to downtown Boston, provided gratis by the Hilton for IPP26, and running twice a day.
• Subway (the Boston "T" blue line, which will cost $1.25 each way in 2006, and which is accessible by taking a free, three minute trip via the airport shuttle bus to the airport T station. Total subway time from the airport to the Aquarium stop (which is near Fanueil Hall in downtown Boston) is about 20 minutes. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Copley Square, in the heart of the Back Bay, which features hundreds of shops and many tourist attractions.
• Taxi (about a 15 to 20 minute ride) for about $15 to $20
• Water taxis cost $10 ($17 for a round trip) and are the quickest route to waterfront destinations..
